Empowering & Inspiring

We are building bridges between the African diaspora and the underserved citizens of Sierra Leone to thrive economically, socially and financially through sustainable development, cultural reconnection and community-led initiatives.

Our Current Initiative

The Kondebotihun Water Purification System Project

A community-driven initiative designed to combat the ongoing outbreaks of cholera and typhoid fever in local townships, this project aims to remove harmful bacteria and contaminants from water sources and provide clean, safe water for drinking, cooking, and bathing to dramatically improve public health and quality of life.

It is a partnership between village youth leaders, the Village Paramount Chief and adult residents. Together, they will construct a small multipurpose building to house the purification system, ensuring long-term sustainability and local ownership.

Goals:

  • Eliminate waterborne diseases

  • Provide safe water access for residents

  • Empower youth leadership and community engagement

  • Create a model for future rural water solutions

Funding Target: $25,000

This amount will fund:

  • Equipment and installation of the purification system

  • Construction materials for the multipurpose building

  • Training and maintenance support for local operators
